By Car:
From whichever direction you approach Skipton, take the by-pass (A629/A59). Travel
around the by-pass until you reach the Gargrave Road roundabout (signposted
Kendal, A65). At this roundabout, turn towards Skipton town centre. After about 400m,
turn right into a driveway (signposted Swimming Pool, Aireville School, Craven
College). There will also be a large banner advertising the Exhibition at the
entrance to the driveway. Please follow the notices inside the grounds advising
you where to park.
We will keep parking places close to the entrance to the exhibition
available for disabled visitors. Please do not park there unless you are a blue
badge holder. Access to all parts of the Exhibition is
available for disabled visitors though access routes are not always obvious. The
door person will advise you.
By train:
On leaving the station building, head straight forwards across the station
forecourt and cross Broughton Road. There you should see an unnamed road leading through the row of buildings
and across the canal bridge into Aireville Park. On entering
the park, follow the path, which turns half left and leads eventually to the
Swimming Pool and Aireville School (approx 1/2 mile or 10min walk).
By bus:
Leave the bus at the bus station. Turn left along Keighley Road towards Skipton
town centre. Turn left again on Swadford Street (the first major left turn).
Continue along Swadford Steet, which changes its name to Belmont Road and then Broughton Road until you reach the
railway station, then follow the
instructions under "By train" above. The walk from the bus station is
quite a long one (approx 1 mile, 20 min walk).
